Our 2016 Day of Distance Clinic was one of the best clinics we’ve ever had!
We had legendary coach Jack Daniels, with a PhD in Exercise Physiology, as our lead presenter. He currently is in charge of the Run SMART Project – helping runners of all ages and abilities run fast. Dr. Jack Daniels has worked with athletes such as Ryan Hall and Magdalena Lewy-Boulet.
Also presenting this year was current Director of Track and Field at St. Joseph’s University, Mike Glavin. “Coach Glav” has been at the helm of the Hawks for over 25 years! His athletes have produced 152 A-10 championships as well as All-American Kevin McDonnell in the 2013 NCAA 10k.
Other guest speakers included:
- Dr. Greg Biren – Corrective Exercise Specialist and Strength Coach,
- Meg Waldron (former RunningWorks counselor) – Mental Performance Coach,
- Kurt Wayton – boy’s coach at West-Windsor Plainsboro South,
- And of course, Marcus O’Sullivan – Director of Track & Field at Villanova University.
